Nearly three-quarters of Tonga's entire population-about 100,651 people-resides on the main island of
Tongatapu. Natural hazards and the effects of climate change pose a significant threat to the country, with Tonga's location making it more vulnerable to cyclones and earthquakes.
It also offers charters from the two Samoas to
Tongatapu in Tonga.

The school, Tupou College on the Tongan island of
Tongatapu, is said to be the oldest secondary in the Pacific.
It's home to the last remaining forest on Tonga's main island,
Tongatapu. The other reserve is on the island of Eua.
It made landfall on the south coast of the main island of
Tongatapu, dumping 160 mm of rain, bringing down electricity lines and damaging agricultural fields, according to the Guardian.
The study was conducted at the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquaculture facility in Sopu, on the island of
Tongatapu, Tonga (21[degrees]07'21" S, 175[degrees]13'36" W).
However, carefully planned and executed introductions into beetle populations onto
Tongatapu and certain islands of Fiji resulted in an epizootic and corresponding decline in the beetle populations (Young 1974; Bedford 1976).
As well as an intense training camp in
Tongatapu their schedule has included a series of community visits, the Ikale Tahi attending Vaiola Hospital, the Ofa-Tui-Amanaki Centre for Special Education and Hu'atolitoli Prison.
