Work, Milton C.

Work, Milton C.

(1864–1934) authority on card games; born in Philadelphia. After taking degrees in arts, finance, and law at the University of Pennsylvania, he practiced law for 20 years and authored Whist of Today (1895). Considered the leading bridge authority (1917–31), he wrote popular sourcebooks and lectured widely.
