hyperboloid reflector

(hÿ-per -bŏ-loid) A reflector whose surface is hyperboloid in shape, i.e. its curvature is that obtained by rotating a hyperbola about its axis. The secondary mirror in a Cassegrain telescope is hyperboloid.
