The peripheral smear showed the majority of cases, the anaemia was normocytic
normochromic type (49.25%).
Laboratory evaluation revealed mild normocytic
normochromic anemia, her chest x-ray showed reduced lung volume on the right side, mediastinum shifton the right and hyper inflated left lung along with tubular density along right heart border as shown in Figure-1.
Peripheral blood smear showed that erythrocytes were
normochromic and normocytic, 86% lymphocytes, 10% monocytes, 4% eosinophils, with noneutrophils and no atypicalcells.
A point in the favour of reticulocyte staining is that the inclusions were only present in the polychromatic cells of the film, whereas basophilic stippling would be visible in polychromatic and
normochromic red cells.
The signs and symptoms of hypogonadism are often nonspecific and include decreased energy, depressed mood, poor concentration and memory, sleep disturbance, mild normocytic
normochromic anemia, reduced muscle bulk and strength, increased body fat, reduced libido, decreased erections, gynecomastia, low-trauma fractures, and loss of body hair.
In general,
normochromic, normocytic anemia, indirect hyperbilirubinemia and hepatosplenomegaly are observed.
[3] The most frequently encountered type of anemia is
normochromic normocytic anemia.
Complete blood count showed normocytic,
normochromic anaemia (10.4 g/dl) with mild neutropenia (32x[10.sup.9]/L) and normal platelet count (180x[10.sup.9]/L).
She had
normochromic anemia, thrombocytopenia and pale skin with abnormal pigmentation (cafe-au-lait).
Laboratory exams revealed a normocytic and
normochromic anemia, with a hemoglobin of 11.1g/dl (reference range 14-18 g/dl), aPTT and INR prolongation of 78.1 seconds and 1.64, respectively (reference range 25-36 seconds and 0.85-1.2, respectively), and elevated urea and serum creatinine values of 68mg/dL and 1.8mg/dL, respectively (reference range 15-55 mg/dL and 0.7-1.3mg/dL, respectively).
