This includes affordable
wall boxes with different power outputs, which will allow customers to conveniently recharge their vehicles at home, and mobile online services offered via Skoda Connect that allow customers to benefit from services such as an intelligent charging station finder.
The battery can be charged at a
wall box in two hours and 15 minutes or from a domestic socket in three hours and 15 minutes.
This is thanks to a new lithium-ion battery with an increased energy capacity - up from 24.2kWh to 35.8kWh - which can be recharged to 80% capacity in less than an hour at a charging station, or to 100% in under six hours from a domestic
wall box.
It's available with a durable dull silver or bronze powder-coated metal finish on the
wall box and trim.
And speaking of batteries this lithium-ion one takes three hours and 45 minutes to charge from a standard three-pin socket and two hours 15 minutes from a domestic
wall box.
And you don't have to wait hours to charge it up - it takes a record-breaking 3.7 hours from a standard wall socket, 2.25 hours from an optional
wall box or 30 minutes at a rapid charger.
Incandescents can be easily controlled by the popular, inexpensive, phase-cut "wave chopping"
wall box dimmers, how-ever, when you try to dim "dimmable" CFLs, there can be problems.
The 17.6kWh lithium-ion battery can be charged by household socket in around 10 hours, six hours from a
wall box or one hour by using a fast charger.
Charging takes about three hours via a quick charge
wall box or up to 20 hours from a standard socket.
