Established: 1992.
Location:In Concordia Parish in east-central Louisiana, 3 miles south of Ferriday.
Activities:Hunting, fishing, hking, eeducational programs, bird watching.
Special Features:The bald eagle, peregrine falcon, and the Louisiana black bear can occasionally be found in the refuge.
Habitats: 11,255 acres of bottomland hardwoods in the Mississippi River delta.
Access: Open during daylight hours.
Wild life: Migratory waterfowl, swallows, herons, egrets, white-tailed deer, turkey, vultures, owls.
