Converse, Philip E. (Ernest)

(1928–  ) political scientist; born in Concord, N.H. Beginning in 1960 he taught at the University of Michigan, becoming the Angell Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Sociology in 1975. He endorsed a behavioral approach to political science and had a special interest in political elections.
