Cook, Katie

Cook, Katie

(religion, spiritualism, and occult)

Katie Cook was one of Florence Cook‘s sisters, and was also a materialization medium. She gave very few public séances and was not examined by as many people as her sister Florence. Dr. Alfred Russel Wallace examined her and gave very favorable reports in his book My Life (1875). Cook had two guides, Nada and Afid, both of whom might appear outside the medium’s cabinet at the same time.
