Facilities:Picnic tables, trails; boat launch at Bull's Island Recreation Area.
Activities:Boating (no restrictions on the Delaware River, but only electric motors, cartop launches, and canoes permitted on the canal), fishing, hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, nature and history programs.
Special Features:This 70-mile linear park is a popular recreational corridor as well as a valuable wildlife corridor connecting fields and forests. With its 19th-century bridges, bridgetender houses, locks, cobblestone spillways, and hand-built stone-arched culverts, the canal is also a great attraction to history lovers.
