Donnelly Creek State Recreation Site
Location:32 miles south of Delta Junction, at milepost 238 on Richardson Highway.
Facilities:12 campsites, trails, toilets, drinking water.
Activities:Camping, hiking, wildlife observation.
Special Features:Park features a secluded wilderness campground (one of the state's most
scenic), with views of some of the tallest peaks in the Alaska Range.
On occasion, caribou are sighted browsing in the area, and the Delta
bison herd can often be seen across the Delta River on their summer
calving grounds.
