ESC/P

A page description language used on Epson inkjet printers. Both ESC/P and ESC/P2 use the escape character as a prefix to the printer command. See escape character.

escape character

The symbol used to begin an escape command in order to execute some operation. See escape code.

escape key

A keyboard key commonly used to exit a mode or routine, or cancel some function. It is the key labeled "Esc."
