Elephant Rocks State Park
Location:On Highway 21, 2 miles north of the junction of Highway W and Highway 21 in Iron County.
Facilities:Picnic sites, trails.
Activities:Hiking, picnicking.
Special Features:Giant red granite rocks one billion years old stand end-to-end like a
train of circus elephants in this state park. One of the largest rocks
weighs 680 tons. The first self-guiding Braille trail for the visually
handicapped in Missouri state parks winds through the geological wonder.
