Facilities:Trails, beach, bathhouse, visitor center, nature exhibits, concession stand (open during summer).
Activities:Surf fishing, swimming, hiking, wildlife viewing. Licensed four-wheel drive vehicles may travel on the beach in designated areas.
Special Features:Located on a barrier island between Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean, this park supports a variety of maritime habitats including a nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles. Property includes Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum.
