Location:25 miles southwest of Williston, North Dakota, and 24 miles north of Sidney, Montana.

Special Features:The principal fur-trading post of the American Fur Company in the Upper Missouri River region from 1828 to 1867, Fort Union served the Assiniboine, Crow, Cree, Ojibway, and Blackfeet tribes. Park encompasses portions of North Dakota and Montana.
