Location:South-central Oregon. Accessible by US 395; OR 66 and 31. Nearby cities/towns include Klamath Falls, Lakeview, and Silver Lake.
Facilities:24 forest camps, 22 developed campgrounds, picnic sites, day-use areas, trails, 2 hang gliding launch sites, 3 ski areas, scenic drives, 3 wilderness areas, boat launch.
Activities:Camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, biking, horseback riding, birdwatching, hang gliding, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling.
Special Features:Gearhart Mountain Wilderness, a 22,823-acre area surrounding Gearhart Mountain (7,500 feet above sea level); North Warner Viewpoint (6,300 feet above sea level); Slide Mountain Geologic Area, site of a giant prehistoric landslide. Several indigenous Native American groups inhabit the area.
