Gaz-Achak

 

an urban-type settlement in Dargan-Ata Raion, Chardzhou Oblast, Turkmen SSR. The settlement is situated in the north of the republic, 4 km from the Pitniak railroad station on the Kungrad-Chardzhou line. Population, 1,800 (1969). The settlement was formed in 1967 in connection with the development of the Achak gas deposits.
