Established: Authorized on August 12, 1965.
Location:In West Branch, Iowa. Visitor center is on Parkside Dr. and Main St., 0.5 miles north from Exit 254 off I-80.
Facilities:Picnic area, rest rooms (é), visitor center (é), museum/exhibit, self-guided tour/trail. Entrance fee required.
Activities:Hiking, cross-country skiing, guided tour.
Special Features:The birthplace, Friends Meetinghouse, and boyhood neighborhood of the 31st President (1929-1933), the gravesite of President and Mrs. Hoover, and the Hoover Presidential Library and Museum are located within the park. The library and museum are administered by the National Archives and Records Administration.
