Hispar
a dendritic valley glacier in the Karakoram, in India. The glacier is 53 km long and covers an area of 620 sq km. Its accumulation area is in the Hispar and Rakaposhi ranges, and the meltwater flows into the Hunza River in the Indus River basin. The firn line is at an elevation of approximately 5,000 m, but in the west the glacier tongue descends to an elevation of 3,000 m.
