Location:On the Sabinal River, 5 miles north of Vanderpool on Farm Road 187.
Facilities:Campsites with water and electricity hookups, primitive capsites, showers, restrooms (é), picnic areas (é), hiking trails, nature trails, park store.
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, backpacking, birding.
Special Features:Bigtooth maples, or canyon maples, are the outstanding feature of the park. During the fall (generally the last two weeks of October through the first two weeks of November), displays of red, yellow, and orange foliage attract a number of visitors to the park, especially on weekends. Park was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1980.
