Location:40 miles north of Pittsburgh, via I-79, in the central western portion of the state.
Facilities:Picnic areas, hiking trails (11 miles), historical center, playfield, playground, scenic vistas.
Activities:Whitewater boating (rafting, canoeing, and kayaking), fishing, hiking, hunting, rock climbing and rappelling, nature programs, guided tours of the restored gristmill.
Special Features:Park features Slippery Rock Creek, a steep-sided gorge, and class II to IV river (depending on water level), Trail of Geology, and the Slippery Rock Gorge, designated a National Natural Landmark.
