Location:Eastern West Virginia. Accessible by SR 55, US 33, 219, and 250. Nearby towns include Elkins, Petersburg, Parson, Marlinton, Richwood, Bartow, and White Sulphur Springs.

Special Features:Landscape of spectacular views, blueberry thickets, highland bogs, and open areas with exposed rocks. Features include Spruce Knob, West Virginia's highest peak (4,863 feet); Falls of Hills Creek Scenic Area, a 114-acre area with three waterfalls; Seneca Rocks Discovery Center; Smoke Hole Canyon, where the South Branch of the Potomac River has carved a 20-mile-long, half-mile deep canyon with nearly vertical walls.
