Nalivka

 

a sweet fruit or berry alcoholic drink. It contains 18–20 percent alcohol by volume, 28–40 percent sugar, and 0.2–0.8 percent acid. Nalivka is prepared from alcoholized juices and infusions, fresh fruits and berries, sugar syrup, rectified spirit, citric acid, and soft water. Some types contain alcoholates of dried fruits and berries (prunes, cherries, apricots, black currants), aromatics (cloves, cinnamon, vanillin), and white starch syrup. The drink is colored with bilberries, sugar dye, and other food colorings.
