Location:Off PA Route 8, one mile north of the borough of Rouseville,in the northwestern corner of the state.
Facilities:Picnic areas (é), picnic pavilions, snack bar, hiking trails, bike trail, visitor/historical center.
Activities:Canoeing, fishing, hiking, bicycling, hunting, cross-country skiing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park's displays and programs identify oil boom towns, important oil well ruins, Indian oil pits, foundations, and cemeteries. Various sites feature an engine house, pumping jacks, stock tanks, oil derricks, and an oil barge. A train still travels through the valley and stops at the train station in Petroleum Centre, just as it did 100 years ago.
