(Open Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface) A high-speed bus that connects the CPU with high-speed accelerators for graphics and AI. Introduced in 2014 as CAPI and originally designed to ride over and use PCI Express (PCIe) slots, CAPI evolved into OpenCAPI in 2016, which is not PCIe compliant.
