Penwood State Park
Location:4 miles west of Bloomfield on Route 185.
Facilities:Picnic shelter, picnic tables, bathrooms (é), trails.
Activities:Hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, picnicking.
Special Features:Park has an extensive trail system, with most of the trails starting
and ending in the main picnic area. A nature trail built by the Youth
Conservation Corps encircles Lake Louise and passes by the pinnacle
overlook. At the donor's request, ground fires, horses, and camping are specifically excluded from activities at this park.
