Sargent, Henry
Sargent, Henry
(1770–1845) painter; born in Gloucester, Mass. He studied with Benjamin West in London (1793), returned to live in Boston (1797), served as a militia officer, and painted genre scenes, such as Tea Party (c. 1820–25).
