Three Island Crossing State Park
Location:Southwestern Idaho, south of Mountain Home, 4 miles off I-84.
Facilities:82 full-service campsites, cabins, showers, restrooms, group picnic shelter, hiking trail, interpretive center.
Activities:Camping, fishing, hiking, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Pioneer travelers on the Oregon Trail crossed the Snake River at this
site, one of the most famous river crossings on the historic trail.
The Glenns Ferry community sponsors a crossing reenactment the second Saturday
of each August. Visitors to the park can learn about pioneer emigrants and Native American history
at the park's Oregon Trail History and Education Center.
