USB 2.0

USB 2.0 is one of two official USB standards. The other is USB 3.2. Introduced in 2001, USB 2.0 added a High Speed 480 Mbps to the previous Slow and Full Speed modes. See USB 3.2.

USB Enabled Legacy-Free PCs
USB 1.0 debuted in 1996, but it did not pick up steam until an updated USB 1.1 came out in 1998. Shortly thereafter, the first "legacy free" PCs appeared on the market using USB as the primary external peripheral interface except for the monitor, which used VGA. See legacy-free PC.
