Withers, Frederick C. (Clarke)

(1828–1901) architect; born in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England. His wide New York practice was identified with ecclesiastical and institutional architecture and the High Victorian Gothic style. In partnership with Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted (1864–71), he worked on Central Park, New York.
