A small switch that is operated by manipulation of a projecting lever that is combined with a spring to provide a snap action for opening or closing a circuit quickly.
(electronics)
An electronically operated circuit that holds either of two states until changed.

toggle switch
A device that opens and closes an electric circuit. It uses a lever that is moved up and down; a light switch on the wall being a common example. Early computers, especially mainframes, often had many rows of toggle switches on their consoles, making them look very formidable.
