Weight losses were indexed to that of the standard DIN compound with lower weight losses indicative of a higher abrasion resistance index.
The Taber abrasion resistance index showed a similar trend, with the best abrasion resistance being with the neat polymers, although the 25 and 50% substitutions of NBR50 showed only a gradual decrease in abrasion resistance.
