An instrument equipped with a filter system or other simple dispersing system to measure the absorption of nearly monochromatic radiation in the visible range by a gas or a liquid, and so determine the concentration of the absorbing constituents in the gas or liquid.
A device for regulating the thickness of a liquid in spectrophotometry.
