Install an
air bleed key on the
air bleed valve at one end of the top of the radiator.

air bleed promotion.
To bleed your radiator turn your heating system off, put an old cloth under the
air bleed valve at the top of the radiator to catch any water, and very slowly turn the radiator key until you hear air hissing out.
Then follow the rest of the
air bleed valve installation procedures called out in IETM 9-1055-1646- I3&P [see "Hydraulic Fluid Reservoir
Air Bleed Valve Removal and Installation "], including the HCS maintenance follow-on procedures [see "HCS After Maintenance Follow-on Procedure"].
Place the new thermostat In the recessed groove In either the engine or gooseneck (
air bleed toward the top).

air bleed channels.
The unit uses a dual-stage filter and a clean
air bleed in the detection chamber to help prevent contamination by dust.
For maximum reliability, system features automatic
air bleed, low-pressure switch, over-temperature protection, pressure-relief valve, and microprocessor controls with easy-to-read digital display and high/low-temperature alarms.
To do this, turn the system off and allow it to cool down, then put a rag under the
air bleed valve at the top of the affected radiator to catch any water.
Also check to be sure there's an
air bleed hole near the bottom of the waste pipe (another potential cause of pump failure).
