alternating-group flashing light[′ȯl·tər·nād·iŋ ¦grüp ′flash·iŋ ‚līt]
A navigation light having groups of total eclipses at regular intervals and having color variations, the duration of light being equal to or greater than that of darkness. Also known as alternating-group occulting light.
