altitude chamber
A chamber used to induce a decrease in ambient pressure (and temperature and/or humidity in some cases) as would occur in ascending to altitude. This type of chamber is used primarily for training aircrew on the effects of hypoxia and other aspects of high-altitude flying as well as for experimental purposes.
