The Ethernet PHY chip interfaces between the
analog domain of Ethernet's line modulation and the digital domain of link-layer packet signaling by implementing hardware send-receive function of Ethernet frames.
A similar circuit exists in the
analog domain, known as a voltage comparator.
Conventional 4G spatial multiplexing technology has limited multiplexing order, so Mitsubishi Electric and DOCOMO developed beamforming technology in an
analog domain and inter-beam interference reduction technology to suitably separate overlapping beams with digital signal processing at the base station.
The results showed that precipitation and sea surface temperature (SST) forecasted over a large part of the IndoPacific Ocean (specifically between latitude 30[degrees]S to 30[degrees]N and longitude 30[degrees]E to 27[degrees]E, i.e., the
analog domain) demonstrated high levels of absolute correlation with observed MAM precipitation over the EA (focus) region during the post-1999 period.
It can also serve as a general-purpose "tool" to help expand Dante capabilities to facilities and applications that were initially implemented to support signals in the
analog domain.
It bridges the gap between the continuous-time
analog domain and discrete-time digital domain.
Today we are moving towards digital domains, but origination of a signal is in
analog domain most of the times.
The architecture comprises an
analog domain Fourier transform signal processor (see previous implementations by [33,34]) that can be followed by multiple ADCs that digitize the input in the frequency domain.
Note also that, rather than feeding [y.sub.m] to ADCs, we have the option of further processing in the
analog domain, e.g., via a switched- capacitor approach [14].
In the
analog domain the focus is on frequency response, current flows, and voltage drops.
In this interface the band pass filter was designed in the
analog domain with the specifications to perform the required filtering.
