The rate of change of acceleration; it is the third derivative of position with respect to time.
A unit of rate of change of acceleration, equal to 1 foot (30.48 centimeters) per second squared per second.

Neurological examination showed bilateral weakness in dorsiflexion and sluggish ankle jerk. X ray and MRI of lumbo sacral spine were normal.
Motor system examination revealed muscle power of 4/5 in all four limbs with predominant proximal muscle weakness, normal muscle tone with generalized hyporeflexia and delayed relaxation of ankle jerk. There was hypertrophy of calf muscles of both lower limbs (fig 1).
Ankle jerk was exaggerated in 6.67% of our patients while it was absent in 40% as against 57.77% absent ankle jerk reported by J Kalita and 50% by Healton.
