astrodome

A transparent dome in the fuselage or body of an aircraft or spacecraft intended primarily to permit taking celestial observations in navigating. Also known as astral dome; navigation dome.

astrodome
A transparent bubble, calibrated for refraction, mounted on top of an aircraft fuselage through which celestial observations are taken. Also called a navigation dome or an astral dome.
