To scroll by dragging the mouse pointer beyond the edge of the current window or screen. It is used to move around a virtual screen as well as to highlight text blocks and images that are larger than the current window.
The IntelliMouse wheel provides the same functions as the original IntelliMouse pointing device, including scrolling, hands-free AutoScroll and zooming within popular applications, such as Microsoft Word, the PowerPoint(R) presentation graphics program, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.
