ballistic wind

That constant wind which would produce the same effect upon the trajectory of a projectile as the actual wind encountered in flight.
ballistic wind
That constant wind that would have the same effect upon the trajectory of a bomb or projectile as the wind encountered in flight. It is the sum total of winds at various levels during the flight of the bomb or missile.
