Aircraft will glide maximum distance at best lift/drag speed. In this case it corresponds to 4° angle of attack.
The speed at which the aircraft glides the maximum distance from a given altitude. This speed corresponds to the one that gives the best L/D (lift/drag) ratio. An aircraft with a higher L/D ratio will glide farther than an aircraft with a lower L/D.
