channel rate

channel rate

The rate at which bits are transmitted over the RF channel. These bits include those bits used for framing and error correction, as well as the information bits. For burst transmission, the channel rate refers to the instantaneous burst rate over the period of the burst (ICAO). RF stands for radio frequency.

The required transmit energy P is a function of the channel rate C (for fixed noise power spectral density [N.sub.0]) for a given set of channel matrices, providing [P.sub.oa](C), [P.sub.ant](C), [P.sub.ch](C), and [P.sub.bl](C).
In this case, if users' data queue size is neglected, the channel rate of scheduled users may exceed the amount of data prepared to be transmitted per unit time.
The advanced multidimensional adaptive return channel supports automatic up link power control (AULPC), adaptive channel rate, and adaptive Modulation and Coding of up to 8PSK.
1) The value [[eta].sup.*] is constant (for example, it is equal to the mean value of data transmission channel rate). The simulation results are shown in Fig.
By suitably adjusting this delay, the end result was a DP-QPSK modulated signal equivalent to a single channel rate of 224 Gb/s.
Common examples include changing the bitrate to fit a particular channel rate or storage time in PVR-like applications or changing the resolution to allow for different capabilities in the receiving equipment such as sending a High Definition (HD) video stream to a Standard Definition (SD) TV set or displaying SD video on a CIF mobile terminal.
These basic elements are seek time, rotational speed, channel rate, and caching capability.
For each channel rate [R.sub.i] to be accommodated, there exists a maximum frame period [T.sub.Fmax], which is determined by Equation 3, and the number of justification bits per frame [D.sub.i].
Practically, the channel rate set [S.sub.m] can be obtained by the following procedure.
