These include arseniosiderite, bromargyrite, cabalzarite, chalcophyllite, clinoclase, clinotyrolite, cobaltkoritnigite, cornubite, fornacite, geminite, litharge, mottramite, nickellotharmeyerite, novacekite, parnauite, powellite, uvarovite, walentaite, wulfenite, yukonite and zalesiite.
(See under Cornubite, Cornwallite, Clinoclase and Strashimirite.)
Occasionally in the same matrix there are microcrystals of clinoclase
peeping out of tiny vugs.
Extensive collecting at the abandoned mines has revealed over 65 mineral species in a complex polymetallic quartz vein system, including bismutoferrite, bismutostibiconite, clinobisvanite, koechlinite, namibite, schumacherite, posnjakite, wroewolfeite, idaite, cornwallite, clinoclase
, cornubite and lindgrenite.
The Smale/Royal Society exhibit included the world's best liroconite and the world's best clinoclase
"ball" of dark green crystals on matrix, as well as superb specimens of chalcocite, langite, olivenite, cornwallite and bournonite.
Good specimens of erythrite and clinoclase
microcrystals were discovered in the Freirina area near Vallenar in 2000.
Arseniosiderite has recently been found at the Gambatesa mine in fractures in chert, as yellow to brown rosettes up to 2 mm, associated with clinoclase
. It has also been collected at the Cassagna mine in fossil wood, with chrysocolla.
Seven chemical analyses were carried out by means of an electron microprobe using the following standards: clinoclase
for Cu and As, hematite for Fe, Bi metal for Bi and wollastonite for Ca.
Relationship to other species: A polymorph of clinoclase
These include scorodite, chalcophyllite, connellite and clinoclase
. He was also the first to illustrate and describe mendipite and bayldonite (Smale, personal communication).

619-941-2848) did some very successful collecting two and a half years ago at the Majuba Hill mine in Pershing County, waiting until now to show us the resulting handful of excellent small specimens of clinoclase
. There are about 10 thumbnails and miniatures, with open seams in weathered ore filled with glittering, deep blue-green druses of crystals to 2 mm: aesthetically they are more than the equals of the oldtime radial spheres from Cornwall.
