teleconferencing

("long distance" conferencing) An interactive communications session between two or more users who are geographically separated. Years ago, teleconferencing meant at least three people. However, the term evolved into meaning two or more people and typically via video (see video calling) rather than audio (see audioconferencing). See videoconferencing and data conferencing.
