X-ray analysis first identified the species from this occurrence, where it is associated with chalcocite, lavendulan and
conichalcite.
In the small group of specimens offered at Munich, attikaite may be seen (under magnification) as pale blue-green crystals and spherical aggregates on mixed jarosite/"limonite" matrix, with microcrystals of
conichalcite and arsenocrandallite.

Whereas jarosite and iron arsenates are more abundant in the central part of the lens, copper minerals, especially copper carbonates and
conichalcite, occur predominantly in the peripheral zone.
Associated minerals are: chalcocite, wulfenite, duftite, "[beta]-duftite" (calcian
conichalcite), "cuproadamite" and olivenite.

Other minerals in the dump material are: cobaltaustinite, scorodite, bariumpharmacosiderite, olivenite,
conichalcite, erythrite, arsenjosiderite, mimetite, beudantite, silver, bismuth, acanthite, galena, pyrite and skutterudite.
Occurrence: On the 30-foot level coating surface and filling thin fractures in limonitic gossan; associated with calcian mixite,
conichalcite, chrysocolla, azurite, gold and quartz.
