Here, it was introduced an efficient algorithm that achieves the interpolation of DEMs from contour maps, as shown in Figure 10.
A contour map was then created based on the number of lineaments and the lineament lengths in each cell, as shown in Figures 6(b) and 6(c).
A visual inspection of the contour maps (Figures 4 and 5) shows that the contour lines of the western part of the contour map are widely spaced indicating that the depth to magnetic basement in these areas is relatively large or that is no presence of pegmatite whereas, at the eastern part of the contour map, the contour lines are closely spaced indicating that the depth to the basement is shallow in these areas.
In the second task children were handed a contour map of Europe.

The water table contour maps are used in deciphering the groundwater flow direction, gradient and area of recharge and discharge.
Embedded analytics from the IMSL C Library provide both backward analysis and forward predictions on collected data, while the PV-WAVE graphics and visualization engine efficiently illustrates data sets using n-dimensional charts, heat maps and contour maps. New features include IMSL C Library version 5.5 and 6.0 integration, OpenMP support for Windows XP, fast radial basis functions, an eclipse plug-in, and additional platform support.
