correlation box
correlation box
A component in the reciprocating engine control for a helicopter that automatically opens or closes the throttle, depending on whether the collective pitch lever is raised or lowered. The final adjustment of RPM, however, is done by the twist grip, as the correlation box functions according to ISA (International Standard Atmosphere) and not nonstandard atmospheric conditions.
