1. short for riding crop
a. a pouchlike expanded part of the oesophagus of birds, in which food is stored or partially digested before passing on to the gizzard
b. a similar structure in insects, earthworms, and other invertebrates

cropTo remove parts of a digital image or physical photo to retain a smaller section of the original. Cropping a digital image is performed by a function in every image or photo editing program. It does not reduce the resolution; it removes part of the image. Cropping a physical photo means cutting part of it away.
