Specific gravity, dry density and Loss on ignition were conducted by density bottle
method according to IS-2720, density bottle
method as per BS-1377: 1975 and ASTM C-114 respectively, of waste paper sludge (WPS) and developed waste paper sludge (DWPS).
The density of the different resins was determined by taking the weight of a known volume of resin inside a density bottle
using Metler AT400 weighing balance.
So with a 100-mL density bottle and only 2-5 g of clay, the change with temperature in the volume of the bottle and the density of water was taken into account (Lambe 1951).
The weighed clay in the density bottle was exposed initially to water vapour.
