Data obtained here indicate that the S parameter in Zwietering's equation is a function of impeller type, baffling, impeller-to-tank diameter ratio, and impeller off-bottom clearance.
Furthermore, there was no relationship found between stilt root height and the stem height to diameter ratio. The absence of significant differences by location does not preclude the role of stilt roots in providing stability as suggested by a number of previous studies (Jenik 1978, Henderson 1990, Kahn and de Granville 1992).
The pressure [p.sub.v] for various diameter ratios of inlet/outlet pipe to the bored [D.sub.o]/[D.sub.0], [D.sub.i]/[D.sub.0] is shown in Figure 10b for the case of upstream pressure [p.sub.in] = 4 MPa (580 lbf x [in..sup.-2]), upstream vapor quality [x.sub.in] = 0.0, and the values of other geometry parameters given in Table 2.
Further experiments should be carried out in order to analyse stress distribution in the sample depending on soil density, soil grading, shape and orientation of soil particles, magnitude of load, ways of sample preparation, sample height and diameter ratio, friction between platens and sample ends etc.
The feed point diameter is normally not critical unless a short is placed between the TASH element and the ground plane, in which case the feed point diameter to short diameter ratio becomes a factor in establishing the characteristic impedance within the first octave.
The high-energy mill shown in Figure 4 has a lower length to diameter ratio, typically about 1.5:1, a larger diameter rotor, and larger separation system.
Figure 3 shows a comparison between the simulations and experiments with similar physical conditions for one quadrant for different tube to sphere diameter ratios ([R.sub.c]/R).
Conclusion: Our results suggest that the platelet count/spleen diameter ratio may be a useful tool for detecting EVs in patients with hepatic cirrhosis but some-other trials in our local population are required to further authenticate its accuracy.
Their mean crater diameter and ring-to-rim diameter ratio match my older and more limited data.
Orbital drilling with a hole to tool diameter ratio between at least 1.5 and 3 eliminates the hole shape effect due to plunge drilling with square-end end mills.
The AE characteristics with different height to diameter ratio are listed as follows:
* Correlate platelet count/splenic diameter ratio with grade of varices.
